This is an oil painting of the spring ponds on Grandma Detmer's property in Willowdale, Kansas. Fall was a beautiful time to walk down the paths by the ponds. The trees left a carpet of leaves and fronds to walk on. The water was so crisp and clear you could see to the bottom. In this painting, Dad is walking down the path ahead of me - in his familiar comfortable, corduroy jacket.
